It's difficult to put yourself in the shoes of a humble but hardworking man, whose voice destroyed his dream of becoming an actor but instead made him Stalin's personal announcer and Hitler's enemy. Now stuck underground broadcasting to the end of the world. Surrounded by some awful people.

In a tiny room, with little attention from the museum guide sat a wax Yuri Levitan in a "memorial studio". A Soviet radio announcer famous for his broadcasts in WW 2 and announcing the victory over fascists. I guess he was supposed to serve the same role in the case of nuclear war.

Besides Stalin and his staff, a detachment of soldiers, and people to man the command and control center there was one man who peaked my interest.

After you go down about 45 floors or so, you enter a complex of snaking rooms, corridors and checkpoints. The air is a bit damp due to ground water and higher temperature underground.

Here is a rare vibe I can't stop thinking about lately. I visited Stalin's nuclear bunker in Moscow a couple years back. It was a deep but relatively small facility Intended for about 2 months of stay before further evacuation.

One of those weekends that makes you feel like life is worth living. 2 days of a great cosplay festival and fantastic sights really got me in high spirits. Seeing a shadow of a storm on the clouds above it was a surreal sight.
