Atari Retro Tech - From 1983 comes the 300 baud (Bits Per Second) "Direct Connect Modem" - so no coupler device needed, just plug into the phone line using the RJ11 connector. Atari would integrate this into their Atari 1400 and 1400XLD systems, but they were never released. #computers

Atari CD-ROM "CDAR504". Designed by Atari & built in Japan by Chinon, it was originally called the OPTOFILE but later changed. Officially released in 1988 but never actually sold commercially, it was available direct from Atari to registered developers. ~1000 units were manufactured.
