The good news is that the bill is DOA on the House floor, where Republicans do not have to votes to enact such cruelty.

GOP members of the House Tax Committee voted unanimously for these cuts. DFL members were unanimously opposed. The amendment passed because the Tax Committee has a temporary 1 seat GOP advantage.

Here is the full spreadsheet for folks’ reference. You can see the current funding is $1.48 million in 2026/27 and $2.529 in 2028/29. Republicans voted to cut that funding completely.
