Managed to finish the Tithe Warden’s full animation set today. Feeling great about how this one’s shaping up—next step is testing it in gameplay, though I may knock out a few more enemy sprites first. As always, feedback welcome! :)

First enemy design I’ve done with the NES palette: the Tithe Warden.
My headcanon for its functionality is that it shoots in 3 directions, similar to the Metalls from Mega Man. Planning to work on its animations today. Feedback welcome! :)

Updated the key art's helmet texturing to better match the rest of the suit. The old helmet felt too smooth, so I brought the chrome detailing in line with the body. Comparison included, and feedback welcome! :)

Kept pushing the NES look today—I updated some of the player’s key animations with the new palette and styling from yesterday’s run test. Still tuning the feel, but this direction is starting to click! :D As always, feedback welcome! :)

Reworked the run animation this morning to lean more into an NES look—simpler palette, tighter shading, and fewer frames. I’ve included the updated version here. Still experimenting, so feedback is welcome! :)

Been experimenting with NES sound hardware to shape the tone and atmosphere for episode one. This isn’t a full track—just a sound test using MMC5 + FDS to explore an “industrial NES” direction. As always, feedback is welcome! :)

Testing Sega Genesis vs NES color palettes today and debating a switch to a full NES look. NES might save me time and make the look of the key art and gameplay feel more cohesive.

Feedback is welcome! :)

A new full art piece of my game’s protagonist, finished over Thanksgiving week. I’m experimenting with a three-color palette and strong lighting/texture for the project’s promotional visual identity—separate from the in-game style. Feedback is welcome! :)

Something I made for my game today, a little health pickup. I thought making it different than the traditional 'heart' pickup would add some personality to the project. :)

Early test footage from my Sega Genesis–inspired platformer. Right now I’ve got running, jumping, sliding, a bouncing projectile attack, and a fixed 480×270 internal resolution that snaps everything to a pixel grid for a more Genesis-faithful look.
