The first #horror anthology under Braced Books miraculously took the #1 slot in new American Horror not once, but twice! A huge thanks you to everyone who supported this project! #indiehorror #booksofhorror

Where are the @sgj.bsky.social fans? He'd been on my reading list for about a year when I spotted Night of the Mannequins in the wild; this felt like a perfect jumping off point. This gutpunch of a fever dream has one of the best first chapters I've ever read. Chaos or sympathy? Highly recommended.

The days get shorter and darker. The air gets heavier. Isolation, starvation, anguish, rest; how can the old haunts of the cold be revisited? Ranging from cosmic to folk, southern gothic to psychological, HIBERNATOR ties together some of the best voices in horror. 9 authors. 9 terrifying visions.

Today I'm hyping up one of my favorite new authors, otherwise known as the "hillbilly Clive Barker". Beauchamp composed an incredible southern gothic ballad wherein two collectors for a mob family bite off more than they can chew somewhere in the snowy Ozarks.

Hyping up my boy today--he wrote an incredible short story for this anthology! (12.5)

This is how I like to imagine folks on Thanksgiving day: home with the pack, howling, beyond ravenous for the next bite. We all begin stirring in the early hours, making the pilgrimage to the same old hunting ground. Happy Thanksgiving!

//Captain held a hate for docking at Port Innsmouth--said the Devil's Reef could be a bother to navigate. We'd always see fires set along the topside of it to ward off any incoming ships. I didn't mind the reef; it was the lighthouse that caught my eye.//

I invited 8 friends from the indie horror community to write me a winter horror story with a focus on sleep. The result is a terrifyingly dreamy collection of snowy fiction. Folk, cosmic, psychological, sourth gothic; lots to explore in this wonderful winter anthology. #booksofhorror #indiehorror

If you've ever wondered what writing was like, Nicolas Fructus captured the essence perfectly.
