just as Jimmy Kimmel’s case wasn’t about Jimmy Kimmel - but about state sanctioned censorship - the Jim Comey case isn’t about Jim Comey. It’s about the rule of law versus authoritarianism.

Trump's demand that DOJ seek reprisal through prosecution against political opponents, including for his prior impeachments, are themselves impeachable offenses for which legislators have a duty to hold him accountable. (3/4)

For our system to survive the damage caused by these egregious departures from the rule of law, courts and individual lawyers will need to reject these politically motivated prosecutions and act according to the law and ethical obligations of the profession. (2/4)
