Can’t recommend AMERICANA enough.
If you like Tarantino, Coen Brothers, and/or Taylor Sheridan style stories, do not miss this film.
Written & directed by the great Tony Tost, this debut ensemble film gripped me from the first frame.
(Bonus points if you’re in LA and go to Rustic after.)

Had to download Final Draft for a new project - this will be the first time using it in many years - and the only thing I'm looking forward to is seeing what features they stole from Highland Pro

And now, a note on Bill Owens who, until this past week, was the executive producer of 60 Minutes.

We’ll be back next week with another edition of 60 Minutes.

The films that I grew up loving - many of them mid-budget adult dramas - are rapidly disappearing. Soderbergh's got some great points here, but the most concerning to me is about the generational opportunity shift--
"What’s gonna happen to the person behind me who wants to make this kind of film?”
Steven Soderbergh Says It’s “Frustrating” When Mid-Budget Films Like ‘Black Bag’ Underperform At Box Office: “Not A Good Thing For Movies”
Steven Soderbergh recently reflected on 'Black Bag,' lamenting the dissonance between its critical success vs. its lackluster draw at the box office.
