Build more trains and bike lanes. Pro-Choice and Pro-Union. Build 15 minute cities now.
Never.

Hoping for the Streisand effect like Ford’s video? Doug is not a great person but I guess a broken clock is still correct twice a day!

Nope. Woodward has been spending like a drunk sailor. No interest in getting anywhere near that mess as a city resident.

Langley TOWNSHIP not city. The city of Langley mayor is awesome. The township mayor not so much.

French champagne?

Hydrogen metal embrittlement is going to send these cars to an early grave.

Today I learned that seniors or disabled can live in single family housing just not in a new development at the same location. Thanks for the enlightenment.
May 28, 2025 at 12:42 PM
Glad we can agree. Or are you too lazy to walk a couple km?
May 28, 2025 at 2:37 AM
Everyone knows you need a massive suv if you are a single parent. /s
May 28, 2025 at 2:37 AM
I ride my bike to Costco. Cry harder cause you’re lazy and don’t know what a jacket is.
May 28, 2025 at 2:35 AM
No frills 1.9km.
May 28, 2025 at 2:34 AM
Google says 2km.
May 28, 2025 at 2:32 AM
I can just imagine the average Langley citizen if they actually put bike lanes on 200th. They still complain about the lane on glover and the single block they removed a car lane from Douglas on.
May 28, 2025 at 2:30 AM
You ride too slow.
May 28, 2025 at 2:26 AM
I can’t get your logic. It should be rent reduced because full rent is too expensive?
May 28, 2025 at 2:25 AM
The city of Langley is tiny at only 10 square km. Saying that this site is too far from anything is peak nimby talk. The new sky train is only 1.9 km from the site. Closest grocery store 1.6 km.
May 28, 2025 at 2:23 AM
8 minute bike ride to sky train from the site 🤷
May 28, 2025 at 2:19 AM
Convient you left out the part about the rent being 20% below market rate for 60 units.
May 28, 2025 at 2:15 AM
So $80k to qualify. What’s the rent??!
May 28, 2025 at 2:07 AM
I knew you would get there eventually with the parking🤣. I’m a 2km bike ride from the site, so not a neighbour but still very close. My kid makes +- $80k and would love to be on his own that isn’t some dank basement. What are the rents going to be, as you seem to think they are to $$$?
May 28, 2025 at 2:06 AM
Nice pivot from too expensive to too big. Just need to get around to “parking issues” and you will have the entire NIMBY repertoire!
May 28, 2025 at 1:52 AM
At least you’ve come out at the “rent is too expensive let’s build less dense housing to solve it” crowd.
May 28, 2025 at 1:33 AM
2 4 story buildings aren’t going to be any cheaper. 🤣🤣🤣
May 28, 2025 at 1:23 AM
Schools are under provincial not municipal purview. 50th can get a light. The NIMBYs are all over the map on this one; rent is too expensive, rent is too cheap and unsavoury people will move in, traffic is too bad in this area. Any excuse to not build anything that isn’t single family housing.
May 28, 2025 at 12:35 AM
I live nearby. Glad to see that eyesore dilapidated church get knocked down.
