Okay, but literally why? You need an AI model to tell you your favorite color? It's not doing anything you couldn't take an hour to do by sitting and thinking.
I mean, I get what you're doing by framing it like we're angry at 1's and 0's instead of the reality of generative AI, but come on.

Oh sick I had no idea it could do that. Exactly how many acres of rain forest got fed into a wood chipper to make that happen? Just weighing pros and cons.

What is the point of a local model if you're working from art or whatever you've already produced. It's a solution in search of a problem. And the concept of "green efficient centers" is genuinely laughable. That is not what we're getting.

Oh yes it is. ICE agents are cursed to walk this earth as revenants for the rest of their days regardless of how insistent the pluckings of their conscience become.

I have a background caring for an Alzheimer's patient and the most disturbing aspect of that disease to me is the loss of "self." The erasure of the soul of a person. Your articulation of a larger self constrained by the mechanics of a living body really soothes that anxiety. I dig it.

"My mind creates a more static me because otherwise, managing this unit of a body would be chaos." What a wildly comforting insight. That death might be the lifting of the constraints of our bodies and a return to chaotic wholeness. I'm sold.

While you're at it give whoever wrote the Iconoclast dialogue options a raise. Having a perfect response to 99% of situations for my temperament has increased my enjoyment of this game exponentially.

I don't know anything about his early access writing and I'm not discounting the possibility of racism, but I don't see it yet. Did the voice actor or somebody involved say something? Why would they literally create a character only to marginalize him because of his race?

Total respect if you don't like it, but he's an emotionally consistent character, at least. Everything he does is ultimately for his father's approval.

I just fundamentally disagree. His storyline has far more impact than the likes of Karlach, Minthara, Halsin, Jaheira, or Minsc. And his trauma isn't neglected as a result of the writing - it's neglected because he neglects it. Wyll's whole thing is sacrificing parts of himself to prove his worth.

Interesting thoughts. I definitely agree regarding Astarion, but do you think Wyll is badly written or purposefully portrayed as an arrogant son of privilege? I always saw him as sort of a dumb guy flailing to live up to his father's legacy by charging into personal sacrifice over and over.
