Zach Grant!
@zachgrant.bsky.social
PCUSA Pastor, loves games, trying to make more inclusive spaces, trying to amplify the voices of folks with disabilities for the good of the whole world.
Joy can't be controlled, but I try to keep all the raw components of joy at hand and in quantities that there's a good chance it will visit.

Adventure can't be planned for, but if enough raw components are there a spark will catch.

Thanks @hellomcdm.bsky.social for a good game.

Mango, the littlest grey tabby cat, has gone on to glory. His tiny size was part of a medical complication. He was very sweet and personable. We had him and his brother just a year. The children are very sad. Though small, he was a cat of the first order.

I'm not ashamed of the fact that my adult lunch was a beefy cheesy burrito and a Mountain Dew Baja Blast (Midnight!) Freeze. Passion fruit is the additional flavor that makes it Midnight.

Folks in my church are pretty cool, but sometimes I'm worried I'll be accused of being too political when I'm just preaching the lectionary texts.

I think the real lesson is that you shouldn't run your political platform in a way that all the Gospel texts on greed seem like a personal call-out.

My brother was just at a wedding for some friends in Karuizawa, Japan. This is the Hoshino Wedding Chapel. Um, what's going on with this wooden feature on the left-hand side popping out of the wall? I can't find any better pictures, but am I trying to find some reason for it not to be what it seems?

Radishes are doing their thing! The winter garden didn't do much, but I'm going to plant a mess of okra and peppers for the summer.

Just the hard-hitting stuff from Florida, like this blood orange I ate and how red it was, and this gator at the park and how peacefully he swam.

One of my favorite Langston Hughes poems made more beautiful in the present moment in the USA.

My poor, super-organized wife is married to a pastor who tries to insist on the full term of Christmas.

2nd apple pie. This time I got the adjustments to the sugar and the types of apples right, I liked it a little more tart. Overbaked and underfilled, but I'm not fussed. Pie enthusiast not a connoisseur, so I'm down with medium-good pie.

Keep your heart soft by any means possible. Compassion is the most powerful and ungovernable critique of the present order.

Reading Brueggemann's The Prophetic Imagination and I can't stop thinking about it.

If you can believe it, there's a longer cat around here somewhere.

Grow in spite of this hard world and without any encouragement like this potato, you sweet, starchy beauties.
