Dad, Leeds nut, fan of rational thought and behaviour
There's no attacking midfielder in our squad, we spent no money on strikers, our defensive signings look poor, our midfield is fragile and over-matched and our manager refuses to do ANYTHING positive until we find ourselves behind in the game. This is only going one way.

We win NONE of our next nine matches. Bummer.

Harrison to left-back?

Ridiculous. Tanaka off. Aaronson into midfield. Absolutely baffling. Brenden has been truly awful. He better do something because, on the face of it, that's an idiotic sub.

Just make the change now, Daniel. It's okay - we'll survive an extra 10 minutes without Brenden on the field. Villa about to make positive changes 3 & 4.

We've gone all half-hearted. Pulling out of every 50-50, dallying on the ball on the counter. James needs to come on for Aaronson.

There we are. Soft, distracted. Borderline unprofessional. 1-1.

That's a good first half. Intensity, commitment, and enough crispness to our play to give Villa trouble. Nmecha has been strong enough, and Okafor and Gabi have given Cash a hard time. Ampadu has been turned by Rogers a few times, and their have been signs of us dropping deep. Stay front foot!

What I want our nominal first XI to aim up to>
PERRI-Henderson
GABI-Digne
BOGLE-Bogle 23/24
JOE-Fine
JAKA-Dunk
AMPS-L.Cook
SEAN-McGinn
STACH-C.Gallagher
DAN-H.Barnes
NOAH-Summerville
DOM-C.Wood 23/24 w/ worse finishing

Some are pretty aspirational, but none are CRAZY comparisons.

I mean, they are better than us, but the instruction they've been given on how to go about this has left the players fighting with one arm tied behind their back. The third goal was born of the pressure we've invited upon ourselves. I love Daniel, but he's neutered the team with his tactics.

Embarrassing. 3-0

WHY have they been instructed not to close down Van Hecke? Here sunshine, have all day to measure a long ball down the line to one of the quickest players in the Prem, so he can make a goose of Gudmundsson and put one on a plate for a man making a late run into the box.

Mostly terrible and borderline unwatchable half of football. We seem happy to let Brighton have the ball unchallenged up to about three yards from our box, and our transition into attack has largely served only to return the ball to Lewis Dunk. Garbage.

Aaronson back at his old tricks, thus far.

Calvert-Lewin HAS to be lunging at that!

Well, our low pressure press and a general feel that we have conceded we lack Brighton's quality in the first dozen minutes has led to the inevitable. If any of this lethargic rubbish has been part of the plan, Daniel needs to buck up his ideas.

Well, we got there in the end. But, crikey, Daniel needs to find another way to handle the last 75 minutes of a game when we're winning. What could (should?) have been a 4-0 mauling became a VERY shaky 2-1 win. Aaronson our best, with Perri looking solid in goal.

Gruev is a good change. He'll have been told to pocket Paqueta, who has started to pull the strings for West Ham.

If the plan is to just sit deep, I'd take Stach on for Tanaka now.

Aaronson actually has these West Ham defenders on their heels! Did they not watch any tape during the week?!

A casual and negative start to the second half. We've turned down numerous chances to go forward, preferring to hold onto the ball and go back, then clear it long.

A tidy first half, punctuated by the two early goals and 214 injury stoppages. West Ham don't have much, but what they do have (BOWEN) can only be activated by Leeds taking the kind of deep, defensive posture they did in the last 15-20mins of the half. Re-set, then come back out and flog 'em.

Very passive, this. Maybe getting through to half-time is a good shout, but we really are inviting a lot of pressure onto ourselves.

Down by 2, and a broken collar bone. Might be best if WHam just concede the game and fold the club.
