Full house at the Japan House! Thank you Daiwa Anglo Japanese Foundation for hosting my book launch. Great questions and discussions, and a reception with nihonshu (!) = good times.

Fantastic to be included in this chunky collection! In my chapter I argue that fan-virtual idol interactions are “multivocal”: the lack of dominant canon + virtuality of the artist, access and fanon = media practices which are foregrounding audiences’ voices and self-reflection.

I'm grateful for these opportunities but the constant news cycle means I'm booked for 90 minutes of commentary on Charles' Scottish thing, I run out of hilarious anectodes 10 minutes in, and the rest is a random babble about NHS, Ofcom and Brexit.
