I'm a long time Sci-Fi fan. My first "real" book was Time Enough For Love by Heinlein, and that lead to me reading every Heinlein book could get. I used grok myself for years, but rarely heard "grok" used outside of other SciFi fans. Course, where I live might have something to do with it....
