I bought a Dyson v6 with a large discount. Later I bought a John Lewis full price. The John Lewis was half the price of the Dyson, and far superior in every respect. I’d never buy another Dyson. The claim about loss of suction is nonsense, as there’s a filter that blocks easily.

Decimate means reduce by 10%. After losing a battle the romans would decimate the remaining soldiers as an incentive not to lose next time.

Is that due to weather? In the UK we fly all year round, although grass strips can sometimes be unusable for a while

I visited the CAA in London (in 1984) with all my paperwork (in a sealed envelope) and 3 hours later walked away from the CAA building with my new licence. I grinned all the way home.

There were people on Twitter claiming that anyone who had been vaccinated would be dead within 3 years. I’m still alive (though I do sometimes see 5G on my phone)

Labour may have carried on with the (very bad) idea, but PFI was introduced by the previous Tory government, & in some cases the incoming government was unable to get out of PFI plans already in place.

The hazard switch on my Austin Maestro was on the top of the steering column, where it could be found easily and quickly, without having to look. The modern idea of putting it in the middle of the car is dumb

I’m obviously now used to the Fiats. I drove 4 today and didn’t get caught out at all. In the last week I’ve also driven 4 brand new MANs and 3 brand new Fords. 👍
