That Hammer seems like a nice bloke, but tbh: when he was reading out his list of players he thought made them a mid-table squad, every name made me wince on his behalf

Yes Bernardo is creaking but I think he was our best player in the last 10
What happened to "sign of champions" and "City always tread water in the first half of the season?"

I'm so far away from the vibe of this pod.
We won, scored 5, closed the gap on the top.
Of course there's a lot of wonky shit, but this is a new young team.
Foden is becoming a giant.

Your coverage today is more pro-Tory than Kemi Badenoch

Just wondering why Joey thinks VAR intervened to cancel this pen?

The idea that treble-winning, 3 times title winner, Jack Grealish would have been better off signing for United than City is hands down the worst football take of the year!

Cinema Paradiso and ET - great shouts.
Got to chime in with Bladderunner 2049, Benjamin Button, This is England, Paris Texas, ...
I've watched the Muppets Christmas Carol every Christmas Eve with the kids for the last 20 odd years, but now the kids are grown

Realise I'm a tad late listening to this episode but fondly remember being right behind Stefan Karl's winner.
Immediate thoughts are Steve Mcmanaman, Danny Mills, Owen Hargreaves

This is possibly my favourite 93.20 show. Exactly the right balance of vitriol and laughter

Fair point about Pep needing to rate but, he is very black and white about who he does and doesn't rate sometimes

Just buy the apposite RB, offload Gundogan and Kova and let's have a new fresh team of youngsters playing in their best positions.
I include Nico O in that

I like Nico G so far & see why he might be pissed off
Rico is the gem I'm scared of losing though
I know he's no RB but last season he seemed to get blamed for every goal we conceded on the counter, chasing back on the replay while Gundogan was 40 yards out of shot.
July 31, 2025 at 6:58 PM
I think your comments at the end about Nico G and Rico sum up perfectly why Gundogan has to be taken off the table for Pep. If he stays Pep will play him and those minutes should be Nico's / Rico's minutes

Very light-hearted and upbeat.
I'd be more than happy with the odd bit of spleen -venting going forward
July 9, 2025 at 1:36 PM
And Nunes and Josko at CB
July 1, 2025 at 1:23 PM
This reminds me of the "...but Mark Hughes scored the best goal of the game" BS from back in the day!

Sorry gents. Love your work but the idea Gundogan should be playing is madness.
Have you seen him this season???? (Of course, I know you have)
As for the idea "We know he can play as a Number 6...."

Assuming we're not talking about Cole Palmer, James Trafford, Rico Lewis, Nico O'Reilly, Egan-Riley James MacAtee, Simpson-Pusey, Hardwood-Bellis or Tommy Doyle.... that only leaves Adam Wharton
