Not gonna name any names/titles, but I've finally realized what I dislike about so called "cozy fantasies." They evoke sentimentality for me, specifically in Baldwin's definition of the term as seen in this quote from "Everybody's Protest Novel."

I've spent the past few days being very *normal* about the promotional poster for Arcane season 2. I have had a completely, & utterly *normal* amount of agonized ambivalent feelings about this goddamned poster. Check the alt-text if you want to see just how NORMAL. Not having a breakdown at all!
