Where has the Seresin Estate Organic Marlborough Chardonnay 2023 been all my life? Stacked with citrus intensity, grilled grapefruit, lush lemon, roast peachy notes & a gasp of green apple, there's also a sexy sniff of smoke & a whiff of toasted almonds to round out its juicy, smashable finish.

Ever since Hawke's Bay suffered the devastation of Cyclone Gabrielle, I swore I'd get more civic-minded and contribute should a disaster ever happen again. I was fortunate to be selected into the Hawke's Bay Emergency Response Team 18 months ago & oh my gosh, the things I've learned!!

Holy rosepetals Robin! The shiny, new Zephyr Marlborough Gewürztraminer 2024 ($26-$28) is SO delicious! Roaring with exotic aromas and fresh, frisky flavours, it's lush, plush perfection to sip with spicy food. If you're a 3-chillies-on-the-menu Southern Thai Curry I'd be very afraid 😉

Last night Mister Lorkin sizzled up these incredible octopus tentacles on his Christmas hibachi grill. Marinated in the sous vide @ 77degrees for 6hrs then further marinated for another 18 hrs in the fridge before launching them onto roaring hot coals. They were SOOO tender & tasty!!
