Feel like highlighting this the most because the pathologizing of autism is so normalized, that people like RFK Jr. are the reason why I grew up with so much self-hatred. I wasn’t challenged on it until I became an adult
I think it is important to note that there’s nothing wrong with having a different neurotype, such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, etc. Pathologizing someone with Autism potentially exacerbates existing harms they’re likely already struggling with. It leads to harmful labeling and stigma.

Autism was discovered in 1911 and the modern definition of Autism came in 1943.
Tylenol wasn’t widely used until the 1950s.
