I can't wait to see Demons' Crest animated. I'm re-reading Volume 1 right now, and I think this is really gong to take off when people realize that it's basically Sword Art Online's Aincrad arc, but dark fantasy/horror themed. The monster designs are like straight out of Berserk or Dark Souls too.

Bandai Namco never updated the demo for Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. As a result, you will never find any other players, and the one tutorial fight is the only thing you can do. The demo servers are separate from the main game, and the Single Player option was never added to the demo.

I got a bonus due to working the holiday, so @cendotharl.etheirys.social and I went out for Japanese food. Really enjoying what we got. Such good food here.

The artwork in the novels is jawdropping too. Incredible detail that should result in an equally jawdropping anime once it’s released. These are not your typical fantasy monsters, but demonic abominations that wouldn’t look out of place in some dark fantasy anime. This is from Volume 1, for example.

That's always fun to play, and lifted my mood to try it out again.

Links to Prototype N and Diamond in the Grave can be found here if anyone wants to try them out.

I am sometimes good at the video games. Sometimes.

Switched Crossover from "Auto" to "DXVK" and working CRT filter is go!

I am noticing some minor slowdowns tho. But it's not impacting playability; seems like some sort of compilation like lag that happens once and then it disappears?

This game is insanely fun by the way. Both it and Prototype N feel like lost Sega Genesis platformers in the best way possible. Very Mega-Man like. Highly recommend trying them out.

Wanted to see if I could get @arrietty.itch.io's "Nadine in: Diamond in the Grave" working on MacOS and it seems to work with Crossover? Neat. Only thing that doesn't seem to work is the CRT filter.

Real talk: Ubisoft style viewpoint towers are absolutely fine in a game if they're done sparingly enough and with decent objectives/design to them. This one in Assassin's Creed Unity was fun because there was a bit of a puzzle to figure out how to get up to it.

The Retro Game Corps hands on sums it up perfectly, lol.

It's almost like CNN isn't really reporting news here, but is instead advertising something. I have no idea what it could be, however...

Still kind of shocked that Project Sekai has an "E for Everyone" rating given some of the content in the game. The Nightcord at 25:00 storylines alone should push it up to an E10+ or Teen rating given some of the content in it. Definitely NOT suitable for all ages at all.

Give it time, and I'll be back to my Deltarune obsessing before long >.>

Chapter 5 comes, and with it - more Noelle.

Talk about "How the mighty have fallen" and all that. Yikes.

Over 143,833 player difference currently, and the "Call of Duty" one includes BO7, BO6, MW3, and MW2 all in one.

You can make Linux look very nice. Here's Fedora KDE with some customizations to the wallpaper, theme, and panel. All default/included options - nothing downloaded besides the mandatory system updates.

Oh?

Tom's Hardware at least gets credit for acknowledging they didn't have enough time to test everything and that more time would be needed for the trackpads. Kudos to them for being upfront there.

But it makes me wonder if Valve didn't have anyone who had experience with the trackpads on hand?
November 14, 2025 at 3:12 AM
It's also annoying to see that people who TESTED the controller didn't test out the trackpads extensively. Like here's PC Gamer's article on the #SteamController. And there's just a casual mention of Balatro. No actual information about how they feel as a primary input.
November 14, 2025 at 3:12 AM
One of the things most obnoxious about the #SteamController marketing from Valve is that I see no use of the trackpads in it. This make me worry that they are not comfortable to use long term. If you go to store.steampowered.com/sale/steamco... there's not a single shot of the trackpads in use.
