The time it takes to realize the other end has picked up is also about the same time it takes to put it to the ears.

Following up on this - I can confirm that the backend has been successfully migrated and even found a few bug fixes and improvements along the way. Version 1.1 of the backend and 1.1.2 of the front end are now live again.
Now to work on other projects again!
