According to the Wall Street Journal, confirmed by White House officials, the Trump administration is expected to announce a move to ease the impact of auto tariffs. In my view, this is just another predictable move in Trump’s ongoing chess game so that it’s starting to lose its seriousness.

The BIST 100 Turkey stock index remains under pressure as the index struggles to break above 9400. Selling pressure, particularly in the banking sector, is increasing. A short-term swing down toward 8700 remains possible. However, my overall view remains unchanged.
BIST 100 (Turkey) is testing 9260 support; a bounce could offer short-term upside toward 9400, but caution is needed below 9260. Wait for stability near 9200–9050 before new entries. Disclaimer: Not investment advice. Consult a licensed advisor.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent said it’s up to China to ease trade tensions, citing unsustainable 125% tariffs. But let’s be honest. This is a cat-and-mouse game. The U.S. wants the deal and is using pressure as part of its strategy.

Year to date returns are:
• Nasdaq: -11.1%
• S&P 500: -6.7%
