The war in Ukraine began as a civil war, not as a Russian invasion of Ukraine. The violent confrontation between Ukrainian nationalists and the "pro-Russian" option in Ukraine was instigated by the United States. There was no Russian invasion in February 2014.

Ukraine lost the war. More and more Ukrainians are realizing this. Ukrainians are now willing to cede territory to the Russians in exchange for peace.

You primitives prefer political violence. The problem with violence is that it is uncontrollable and can escalate into war very quickly. And that's exactly what happened in Ukraine.

Initiatives to annex the DPR and LPR to Russia came from Russian separatists. Putin rejected them until 2022.

Ukraine was invited to NATO in 2008. But in the 2010 elections, Yanukovych won, blocking NATO membership with his "non-alignment policy". After the coup against Yanukovych, the "non-alignment" was abandoned. Poroshenko is again asking for membership in the alliance.
