You can make a difference as an individual by doing a regular fundraiser! There are tons of examples of people streaming to raise funds for people in need, and they also didn't require making it a competition for said money. Charity can be done in many different ways.

Explain to me where I defended game shows. Because I don't think those should exist either, the same with your competition, despite it being on a far smaller scale. Why not just do a normal fundraiser instead of making it into a competition?

It could mean the difference between paying off a bill and not, for instance a medical bill. Regardless of how "fair" you're trying to make this, it's still kind of fucked up that someone could desperately need that money to make ends meet and you're holding it over them with a competition.

Does it feel good to hold a life-changing amount of money over poor people's heads and make them compete for it? You do realize how dystopian this is right
