The exams I answered yesterday were from 2009, so maybe the N1 is just easier than the old 1-kyuu? It's still deceivingly long and filled with stuff to make you waste time though, god I hate exams.

Also, I didn't buy the SIM card, I only needed it to get an Uber, and the free WiFi solved that, thank you free WiFi. No free drinking water tho?

I had already been walking under the burning sun for at least 20 minutes and was dying for a drink, but I couldn't find a single drinking fountain. I gave up and asked a guard and he told me there were literally no fountains in the entire mall. How? So I drank from the bathroom faucet and came home.

Only to find out the mall was closed. It was Sunday morning, of course.
I crossed the overpass to use a public bathroom, then came back to use the mall Wi-fi and get an Uber and just go home already, but the mall had opened, so I walked around looking for water again.

And I got lost. I first walked away from the mall, realized it, turned back, and ended up in a street with no direct connection to the mall street for MILES. Luckily I found a staircase at the end of an alleyway that led up to the correct street, so I reached the mall eventually.

After that, I thought I’d go to the mall to buy a new SIM card since my old one died. Google Maps said it was very close to the school. No wonder that was where my job interview happened, convenient for the very busy Mr. Japanese teacher, while to me it’s a 15 minute ride one way plus fees.

They ghosted me for a couple of minutes while I stood there waiting for a chance to speak and ask where the hell to drink water. Thankfully, the nice lady who was our examiner guided me to the fountain, so I could finally drink and finished the exam without issues.
