The Left in the US was at the forefront of the anti-globalization movement in the 1990s.
But, it was the populist Right who capitalized on the discontent regarding neoliberal globalization.
Figuring out how that happened would be a good starting point to get out of this mess.

Authoritarianism isn't about keeping your head down all the time. You can raise your voice on many issues. Believe me, I know..
The problem is that the government has the power to define what those issues and the boundaries are. Not the law.

Authoritarianism isn't about keeping your head down all the time. You can raise your voice on many issues. Believe me, I know..
The problem is that the government has the power to define what those issues and the boundaries are. Not the law.
