Cancer care often forgets those at the edges: teens, elders, people with rare cancers. Their needs don’t fit the standard path. Fertility, intimacy, body image deserve the same care as the tumor.

🔬 In this RCT (n=1000), oral multivitamins didn't reduce CV events after MI in patients with diabetes.
🎯 35% event rate in both arms HR: 0.99
No benefit.

What if we screened smarter, not just more?
In BARCODE1, men with high polygenic risk (top 10%) had MRI + biopsy—
40% had prostate cancer.
Over half needed treatment.
Most would’ve been missed by PSA alone.
Genetics is rewriting the rules.

In this randomized trial, a large 324-gene panel (F1CDX) identified more matched therapies vs. a smaller panel (51.6% vs 36.9%, +14.8%)
But… no survival benefit seen.
More targets ≠ better outcomes—yet.
