One slice of pizza this time last year in St. Augustine, Florida was $4.25. Today it is $5.25. I’m curious, how many undocumented children do we need to deport and how many more Palestinians, Sudanese and Ukrainians do we need to see killed to return to last year’s prices?

Happy to announce my upcoming presentation is just a little over two weeks away! In May of next year, Flagler College students and I will revisit Troy, as well as Albany and Buffalo, to conduct interviews with descendants of migrants from regions of the Ottoman Empire that constitute modern Turkey.

Every time I see a post about Kirk, all I think about are his kids, the kids who survived school shootings, and the families of kids who are victims of school shootings. Hopefully his death will be our turning point towards common sense gun regulations.

In May of 2026, I will lead a study away FlagSHIP program in New York State. FlagSHIP is a requirement for all second-year students at Flagler College.

We have a name for compilers of such lists in Greek, “dosilogoi.” Anyone who resisted the Nazi occupation was given up by traitors to the Nazis. These people would be led by the occupiers in black masks to pick the revolutionaries out of a line up. Those chosen would be executed by firing squad.

White supremacists should be opposed, chastised, and ridiculed at every turn. Now is the time to stand up and be counted. My grandfather didn’t die on the Albanian front and my father didn’t live through the Famine imposed by Nazi occupation for naught.
