Mogwai update: renal failure not fully stabilised yet, but we haven't needed IV-rescue in 5 weeks. Appetite slowly recovering but daily injections @ vet and multiple other meds still needed - basically round the clock care (esp with force-feeding small amts every 90 minutes). But: still alive 👍

Mogwai not the healthiest of campers right now. Working on getting her well enough to have useful baselines for an actual diagnosis, hopefully tomorrow.

Unexpected crashes notwithstanding (and I can't really figure out what it is, but UI interactions is definitely one of the causes), I'm rather pleased that my lil old RTX 2080 is managing so well. I'm not watching my fps -- if it's smooth and not hitching, I don't care what the number is.

Saw my first 150 in Ark Ascended and it was a Troodon. Figures.
Bonus/rando screenshot: the obelisks are a lot more impressive than they used to be, even at med/high settings only.

AutomatedArk will probably replace the latter, but it looks like it'll be a while before we have non-game-breaking cryo/pokeball options. +rando bonus pelagornis overspawn pic.
I 100% did not stay up too late playing Ark Survival Ascended. It looked stunning but ran like poo on ultra (my rig is good, but 2-gens-ago good), so I twiddled a few knobs and now it looks very nice and runs like butter (that's been in a chilly kitchen, but still). I miss all my mods... or do I?

They are honestly cat software running on dog hardware and I love 'em to bits. Every Basenji I've had has also gotten along very well with cats, but I can't say that's necessarily typical as they *are* hunting hounds. (Ask me how long the gopher they caught lasted, and what happened to it.)
