Well there should be holes all along the inside container in my knowledge because we want the water to go up as there is less and less butter as you say. So there is the least amount of air trapped. The water can touch the butter and should even touch the butter. At least this is how I've seen them.

Love it! It's a fun piece.
I would agree that it's a bit too triangular at the back. But still very recognisable as a crab! It also has a kind of ravioli looking shape viewed from the top 😅 (I had to say it, it made me hungry 😂)

3/2...
So it seems warping issues when slip casting with porcelain is a thing :/. I'd be curious to know if some people with experience on the topic have feedback on this! Hope you'll get some answers!

2/2 Because she was doing very geometrical pieces with sharp angles the warping was an issue for her work. Sadly she couldn't figure out how to solve the issue and she had to switch to white stoneware for slip casting and this solved her problems.

This looks gorgeous!
1/2 : In terms of warping, when in school a student was doing her final project slip casting using porcelain at first. Even though she was doing very thin pieces meant to be translucent her pieces just kept warping during the firings.
