the other is rufus, a fork who has never tasted a cake in his entire life. despite working as a food critic, not once ever has he eaten a single cake part, because due to a past accident he has the inability to consume *human* cake parts without the speculation that it might just kill him —

the first character shown is emrys, a cake, who works at a cafe (that serves actual baked cakes hfjgkn) and use he/they. they strive to make the cafe a safe space for everyone, cakes, forks and normals, because !!! why not!!!

in rare cases, cakes are born with pain receptors or without the ability to regenerate

so i havent fully developed their story yet/im not sure about certain parts ive thought of, but they're from the #cakeverse !! (yall gonna jump me for it😭)
my take on this is that all cakes can regenerate and dont have any pain receptors, and as for forks, cakes are crucial to their survival
