A new leftist alternative? A personal ac to engage & critique
@yourpartyuk.bsky.social
A supportive but at times critical #YourParty feed. Still hanging in for now, albeit by a thread, for a new #DemocraticSocialist party with roots from the purged #progressiveleft #LabourParty tradition & led by #ZarahSultana. Let's see what Nov conf brings
This is a fair point. That you & I are working through stuff X 10s of 1,000s of others just all over just shows how difficult it is! Sometimes I'm inclined to simply sign up to Greens, but for now I'm waiting to see what does or doesn't emerge out of conference & it's aftermath

They want to be there to build their own party. I agree not easy, but think there have to be some parameters & a commitment to building a new party & not being a member of a different one is in my view fair & reasonable. Would you allow Reform members to attend? Perhaps we agree to differ again?

Yes, because they cannot be members of a democratic centralist party and YP by THEIR OWN definition ...

Not excluding left wing organisations at all. Not what I said :-)

Allow me to elaborate as you possibly are missing my point. A democratic centralist party eg SWP requires ALL signed up members to follow the party line. Including: socialism requires a party which is the of the proletariat vanguard; EU is a capitalist club hence left exit #LEXIT (since revised) etc

No idea who they are or if they exist as described However, I feel the nonsense isn't coming directly from Corbyn, but rather those in team who have a particular view on direction & control of YO. Transparency appeals over many posts since start have ALWAYS gone unanswered & I wonder why so? NotGood

Definitely maybe :-) but for now I'll critically engage & see where it all leads

Oh dear, I'd hoped my reply to your post might have helped a conversation to move things forward. Overall we're on the same side, are we not?

Be that as it may Jamie Driscoll certainly isn't & he's not joining - the direct quotes are real & have been cited elsewhere. There's clearly a problem with some of those behind the leadership. Calls for #transparency from myself & others are ignored. Hope I'm wrong but it doesn't bode well IMHO

I think it's fair to say that the #IndependentAlliance of #MPs who make up the"steering group"of #YourParty may have a shared moral-outrage at the #Genocide in #Gaza-but do not "share"the same"political ideology",and genuine desire to create a party for the"left-behind",WORKING CLASS, communities!
