LOL, yeah, the reboot of the movie franchise is so-so. The classics are still better and wirth rewatching every year or two.

I rewatch these classic franchises every year or two. We no longer see these types of franchises today.

It's especially fun watching them before the year ends. Like the final week. Just a marathon of them all for days. 😅 And RE is at the top of my list.

@Edent I mean, imagine if many websites suddenly start seeing in their statistics:

LOL! Phanpy is a frontend, a skin, so not an instance. The last two in the attached screenshot are Mastodon® so not "Mastodon-ish". 🤣

LOL. The crazy lists people add us.

I was added as Republican and Democrat when I never talked about US Politics because it doesn't concern me, I haven't even stepped on US soil (not even in our local US Embassy). 😆

Another added me in "Needs to go back to Elementary" (still US politics related).

… geographically closer to us.

This will make Bluesky, Blacksky, Pinksky, or in general the microblogging aspect of the ATmosphere network less US-centric.

… no current platform, not even Facebook, Instagram, any Fediverse software, diaspora, or ATmosphere, was able to do.

It's the same for other countries and nationalities.

I also suspect they have distance signal for non-Filipinos, because for non-Filipino content, we see more from those …

… the regional signals, it helps Filipinos everywhere to see content from their fellow Filipinos. Those abroad sees content from the Philippines, making them feel closer at home. While those in the Philippines see how Filipinos abroad are doing.

This created a Filipino Threads community that …

Then Filipinos abroad, according to those I've talked to, they see content from Filipinos in the Philippines.

Filipinos are family/clan oriented. Many Filipinos are also OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers) who miss their kids and the rest of the family clan. Or, just Filipinos in general.

Because of …

… citing it's US-centric. It's all about Elon, Trump, US politics, and some first-world issues. Where did they see that? Discovery Feed.

(The second reason, they get randomly banned and it takes forever to recover your account (usually you don't, so either create a new one or forget it).)

As I always say, ARC principle: Acquisition, Retention, Conversion.

Acquisition: expose custom Feeds as I explained above
Retention: introduce features users are already familiar with (polls for example)
Conversion: turn them as your ambassadors and recruiters

Asians I've talked to mostly left …

New users don't know what Custom Feeds are. If you tell them to do this and that, they'll get discouraged and think "too complicated". They just want things to work.
November 23, 2025 at 9:23 AM
Then once the user finishes onboarding, the custom Feeds they selected should be placed as the first 3 or 5 at the top, before the Discovery Feed and Following Feed. This way, new users actually sees the interests they selected in the first place.

Currently, new users see Discovery and it …

The interest selection during onboarding should be for Custom Feeds, not Discovery Feed.

If I select "Games", I should see all feeds with "Games" in the title and description, regardless if there are special symbols and characters. It also should not be using the "Feed Likes" signal.
November 23, 2025 at 9:23 AM
… it's almost 2026 and still the same.

The search itself is random, some feeds with say "Keyword: name" won't appear if you search for "keyword" or "name" but shows up if the Feed name is "Keyword name". It randomly works, feeds are either lucky or unlucky in searchbecaese of that.
