Their point was that the 1975 change to permanent DST was seen as unpopular, so that proves standard time is better.
That change lasted less than two years. I’m pretty sure we could’ve tried a little harder than that.

Secondly (because this is a passion of mine): So many people confuse DST with standard time. Standard time is now (the seasonal depression one).
DST is being able to enjoy the sun after work hours.
Days get shorter naturally, and we shorten them artificially. 🧵
