I've always kinda thought the torta cubana was Mexico trolling Cuba, like those Cubans will just throw whatever on some bread and call it a sandwich. But if you find one at a taqueria, preferably attached to a Mexican grocery, it's a modern culinary delight, not to mention enough for two meals.
