One month ago this morning, I was in the ICU after my fall 6 hours earlier. I had smashed my head into the concrete patio at my house and I’d also broken my back and neck. I had several CT scans, an MRI and x-rays. Aside from the physical damage, I had no neurological issues. I was so very lucky.

When you start leaving 1, 2 or 3 star reviews for a new place that’s obviously trying to work out the kinks, you’re making it more difficult to get business in for them. Help them to succeed, don’t doom them with star ratings that are difficult to overcome. 2/2

A word of advice for visiting a newly opened restaurant: resist the urge to leave a lukewarm online review, especially if you “really want them to succeed”. If your visit needed some tweaks, speak with the owner or manager and give them some honest feedback. 1/2

I’ll never catch up on music, movies, TV shows, books, podcasts, email, projects, etc during what’s rest of my life.
So I just give up.
