Yep, that's Nick.
I love the peacefulness of my backyard. It's so relaxing to sit and enjoy Mother Nature. This bat comes by for dinner just about every night. #bats #mothernature #peaceful #mybackyard

These are the flowers of the Common Hibiscus that I'm allowing to spread into my yard, although calling them "common" feels like an insult. #Hibiscus #Zone6 #gardening #bloomscrolling

I set this pot on top of a taller one so the burro's-tail can dangle. I added some new soil to the taller pot and this yellow mushroom sprouted. It's pretty common and a sign of healthy soil, but I just learned it's called "Flowerpot Parasol." Now I know. So do you. #houseplants #gardening #mushroom

No way!!! I've had a spider plant hanging over the pot of another plant for a few years. Now a brand new seedling sprouting from that pot! Spider plants must be self-pollinating. So cool. #houseplants #indoorplants #surprise #growing

I was fortunate to visit the San Diego Zoo and found myself enamored with the biggest palm tree I've ever seen. Tours were just passing by without mentioning it. I had to fight the urge to stop them and say, "Look at this tree! LOOK AT IT!" #SanDiego #SanDiegoZoo #trees #bigtrees #nature

My lunch today. Rather than saying, "I ordered it online," I prefer to say, "I had it shipped from Alaska." #fancy #lunch #tinnedfish #wildfishcannery

Look at this new branch on the foxtail fern in my office! It's at least twice as long as the others. It's nice to have something to look forward to on your way to work. #houseplants #indoorplants #plantparent #smalljoys

Honeysuckle is one of the first shrubs to leaf out in Spring. I used to get excited about it until I learned that most of the honeysuckle in my part of SW Ohio is invasive, and the early leafing is part of the reason. It has a longer growing season than most native plants. #gardening #landscaping

I have a rule: If the label doesn't say what specific type of plant it is, I won't buy it. I'm not sure if this rule results in me buying better quality plants, but it does stop me from buying every plant I see. #houseplants #gardening #gardeningfeed
