I see a lot of posts saying, "thank God they're incompetent." But, as you correctly note, incompetence is the result of Fascism, and a source of the damage it does. When you destroy everything around you, but you cannot accept blame or correction, you must always look for a new scapegoat.

I don't know anything about naval power. My question is this-- is there anyone other than Trump that thinks the ship like this is a good idea? I mean real experts? Knowing Trump, I expect that anyone with expertise actually thinks this is idiotic.

As the United States becomes majority non-white, I suspect this shit will become more of a political liability. I see how it can galvanize white anxiety and grievance, but can't it also create a backlash?
