If there’s to be a future on this island, it has to be built on mutual respect and equality.

That means ending isolation, acknowledging realities, and building a future not based on domination, but on coexistence.

And for those who criticise Türkiye’s presence in the TRNC—what do you expect?

When Turkish Cypriots are cut off from everyone else, who else can they turn to?

Surely a free, developing Northern Cyprus—trading and engaging with the world—would push the Greek Cypriot side to negotiate more fairly?

Right now, they have no reason to budge.

After the Annan Plan, Turkish Cypriots were promised direct flights and trade.

None of it happened.

The world cheered our “yes” vote, then left us behind. Isolation has only deepened since.

So can you blame Turkish Cypriots for wanting a different settlement model?

Each negotiation ends with broken promises and deeper isolation.

Why keep returning to a process that has delivered nothing?

Let’s look at the record:

In 2004, 76% of Greek Cypriots rejected the Annan Plan—despite it being backed by the UN, EU, and Turkish Cypriots.

In 2017, they walked away from the Crans-Montana talks.

There’s no serious move toward power-sharing or equality.

These airlines must cooperate and talk with Ercan Airport's control tower.

Is it not hypocritical that these airlines refuse to carry out direct flights to Ercan, but then contact Ercan’s control tower to land in Larnaca?
