You can tell what "founding principles" these Parties actually care about by which ones they deem up for debate

Yes. I think this goes back to the democratic centralism principle, criticism in private, unity in public. What they got wrong is that you don't present a divided image to the public from the get go, especially not over admin roles that will instantly get replaced anyway

True. Struggle should be done, but this was easily preventable. I can't tell whether it wants to be a mass workers social democrat party or a vanguard party. I guess the problem was allowing unvetted non-progressives to be your founding members just because they're MPs.

He is a collaborating stooge, who expelled any progressivism from the labour party in order to implement austerity to benefit the rich. His government is making it their number one priority to usher in Reform on a red carpet

I even saw them celebrate a guy quitting YP, not bothering to research that the guy was one the terf landlords that shouldn't have belonged in the party anyway, but complained about "infighting" and they all lapped it up, like they believe YP should have treated him better. What a joke

I can't tell you how many times I've seen Zarah Sultana stereotyped as the "unstable screaming activist brown woman" when rightly struggling against microaggressions from colleagues.
November 30, 2025 at 12:38 PM
They're all on their high horse with their condemnations of "infighting" as if they're never gonna disagree with party leadership and get those same phrases thrown back at them. They believe every bs smear the culture makes about the left, and propagate them against other leftists!

HAHAHA.....YESSSS

I've given it some thought. I don't think that line of reasoning "well the average American doesn't care" is useful when talking about a leftist leader endorsing someone harmful to the left. This isn't an attack on your beliefs, it's an attack on Hasan's reasoning

Antonio Gramsci is rolling in his grave rn
November 24, 2025 at 1:45 PM
and do you agree or not? why bring it up if you have nothing to add?
November 24, 2025 at 1:41 PM
Yes that is true. However, that is less of a point in and of itself and more of an explanation for a point you have not yet made. Should the left involve itself with individuals harmful to the workers so a few americans can continue living oblivious about said harm? I don't think so

Basing your opinions and goals on what the American public expects of you actually sets you back because you are tailing a reactionary populace instead of leading/educating them

you argue like a sex pest

I do not regret to inform you,

I'm crying bruh you're the type of guy Lenin was talking about in State and Revolution... No, Marx advocated for revolution, the smashing of the state machine, seized by violence if necessary. Stop trying to misinterpret Marx cause its obvious you have no idea what you're talking about

your name is scratchmarx, why don't you read him?
November 20, 2025 at 1:45 PM
He seems nice but he's so misguided it hurts. We've seen this play out many times

I think the choice isn't "Mamdani or nothing", it's "Mamdani or us". The left in America could have way more power if it had a party for themselves, that only participated in electoralism to disrupt instead of reform, and dedicated to exposing the contradictions within bourgeois democracy.
November 20, 2025 at 1:37 PM
I know he's just a mayor and his power is limited, but that only strengthens my overall point that electoralism, and especially electoralism for an imperialist party, is unfit to liberate the masses, and will let them down.
November 20, 2025 at 1:37 PM
Mamdani may mitigate some of the effects of capitalism, in his state, but because he is only content with that and not eliminating the root causes, it weakens the socialist movement and delays the social revolution.
November 20, 2025 at 1:37 PM
Thing is with Mamdani is he's a) giving people a wrong definition of socialism that they'll have to relearn eventually, and b) trying to reform a dead-end imperialist party. When that inevitably doesn't work out it's going to leave the masses demoralised and burnt out.
