Ella Abken is a Research Assistant at CureME. She studies ME/CFS, manages UK ME/CFS Biobank data, and focuses on gender medicine and sex differences. Neuroscience-trained, she partners with the Women’s Brain Foundation and G3 Modern Medicine to support inclusive research.

Karen Giménez Orenga is a biotechnologist at UCV (Valencia). Karen studies human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs) as potential biomarkers for #MECFS #fibromyalgia and #LongCOVID. She also explores how HERVs in our DNA influence the immune system and may contribute to these conditions🧬

Our newest member is Leonardo Vincenzi 🇮🇹 Leo is a bioinformatician and postdoc at @meduniwien.ac.at. He researches #MECFS genetics to discover causative variants. In his postdoc, Leo also studies #MECFS prevalence to seek evidence that can facilitate the diagnosis of the syndrome 🧬🧑‍💻
