Yotsubear was an alias I abandoned in 2024 to escape my past and start fresh as Sanjay.

It came from my favorite character, Yotsuba Nakano, who under her cheerfulness, masked a lot of fears & insecurities. But through her self-acceptance, she rose to the top.

And I realized that I could be both.

It’s been a long month, and as you can see, I’m on a new account. A new beginning of sorts. With everything that’s unfolded in the Pokémon community, I’ve been through it all: crying, feeling angry and heartbroken, making painful decisions to distance myself from certain people, and taking a hard look at who I am and the connections I’ve built. But through it all, my biggest takeaway has been not losing my light. It’d be easy to shut down, isolate, and let fear stop me from opening up again. But that helps no one: not me, and not the people who’ve trusted me and found friendship here. This is when it matters most to stay genuine, compassionate, and someone others can rely on. Now’s the time to move smarter, lead by example, and take accountability where it’s needed. I refuse to become complacent, follow the crowd, or make the same mistakes others have made. Because even after everything, I’m still here, still growing, and always me.

I've watched a *lot* of clips and reels but it's exciting to finally lock in! I absolutely loved its Otonoke opening, Creepy Nuts did an amazing job, and the artstyle looks dope!
