Picking apart a typo feels more emotional and doesn’t add strength to your argument. I could be way off base though, it’s text not speech, and if I am I’m sorry.

You seem to be picking out every mistake of their argument. Especially with the missing decimal point. Like if you’re truly arguing about “from Israel” funding, you would have a source to counter. Instead you’ve chosen to pick apart a typo.

Well, mostly. I think there’s also subtleties here that I’m picking up on. Maybe you’re a very literal person and that’s cool, I think the op was trying to say “from Israel” as in “pro Israel”. But that’s a generous read and maybe they did literally mean “from Israel”.

But the facts in this case seem to represent a paper trail of money from AIPAC to congress. Any allegation that AIPAC funding is connected with congressional democrats refusing to seriously defend democracy feels much more murky and would need much more proof.

I honestly have to believe you’re angry about this attack on either the congressman or Zionism. In either case, the facts do seem to point out that Hakeem Jeffries is predominantly funded by AIPAC. Many congress people are. We could argue about whether that’s a good thing or not.

1. They missed a decimal point, it’s still 1.75 million.
2. There is the public documentation that it is from AIPAC as provided by OpenSecrets. If you know of a better source you can feel free to list it here.
3. AIPAC is a pro-Israel lobbying and funding organization.

Even if they did it would be left to selective interpretation of checks and balances by the fascists in power

Hey, agreed that it was some baffling behavior to sit out an election that was so important. I’m just seeing progressives frustrated with a party that didn’t represent issues important to them. Last election cycle the thesis was to draw moderate voters to the left—didn’t seem to work. Could be wrong

Combined with the huge crowds Bernie and AOC have pulled around the country I think young progressives were frustrated last election and sat at home. White homeowners mostly went for Trump.

Who were they?

We pandered by running a campaign focused on our military, status quo, and moderate values. The Kamala campaign didn’t work to excite progressive liberals except with the nomination of Tim Walz who was mostly sidelined. MAGA would do better to vote left—everyone would—but they haven’t and won’t.

In what world would maga vote blue? They’ve picked their lane. They were in the minority. We need to excite blue voters instead of the pandering strategy employed in the last election.
