I agree with all of this, and also that fascist systems do not value learning and creativity in the same way democratic societies do, so they have fallen behind Ukraine in innovating novel ways to kill the enemy.

As an outsider looking in, I haven’t seen enough evidence to reassure me you will prevent the fascism upon you.
A sizeable minority want it, and a further sizeable minority are completely apathetic to it, but these two factions outnumber those who do care.

As an outsider looking in, I haven’t seen enough evidence to reassure me you will prevent the fascism upon you.

Voter registration shifted to the right. This is not the same as the population as a whole shifted to the right, it simply shows that those motivated to vote shifted right. If the democrats energised those sympathetic to them then this could be reversed.
