Like, no joke, I just now came back to two shiny Snorunt, one of them being an Alpha. This stuff is just trivial to do.

Turns out using an Arduino to program macros is perfect, and much more affordable (like 5€), to shiny hunt! (Not pictured: a shiny Aron caught moments before)
