Residents were rattled by an earthquake that struck southeast of Reno, Nevada. Preliminary estimates showed that the quake had a magnitude of 5.5, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

For perspective: a much of Sonoma County has seen 12-15 inches (locally 20+ inches) of rain from this #AtmosphericRiver over 48-72 hr. Per NOAA Precip Atlas, the 11.85 inches at Santa Rosa Arpt in 48 hr has recurrence interval of between 200-500 yrs (!). HOWEVER... [1/2] #CAwx
