Saiyuki comic of Koumyou and Ukoku encountering some bandits on the road who try to rob them One of the bandits calls them an "old coward and his errand boy". Koumyou and Ukoku are not amused. Ukoku asks if it isn't their duty to "guide lost souls back to the path of righteousness" and Koumyou vaguely agrees. Ukoku uses his sutra to clear the bandits out of the way, announcing he'd "introduce them to the wonders of the holy scriptures". The two continue on their way unbothered, Koumyou commenting that this was "not bad for an errand boy". Ukoku, once more, is not amused.

...so I ran a little printing experiment with these two bottled specimens. And gave upside-down Nii a quick recolour and turned him into a keychain (a Nii-chain, if you will)

while working on the "laundry sanzos" recently I remembered a Nii in a bottle I drew back in 2019 (inspired by a merch line he hadn't been part of)... and gave him a little update. And a friend.

fun fact: I made these plushies' clothes removable for strategic reasons.
