Very proud to have played a part in the production of the Scarborough sea watching station for Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and Wild Eye. It really is a magnificent space and the graphics shone in the sunshine with many people reading & engaging, thank to to the team yorkswildlife.bsky.social

A lot of noise coming from the Rookery at the side of my house this morning. It won’t be long before the noise complaints start from the people that came to the countryside to complain about birds!

#Swinemoor I had the great privilege with @whitburnbirds.bsky.social to see a pair of Peregrine hunting, picking out one Golden Plover and continually changing lead bird until they finally got their quarry. Otherwise much reduced volume of usual birds. #patchbirding #pwc2025 #ukbirding

Really!
Stop worrying about bats and newts? No Rachel Reeves MP – start worrying about the future of our economy if we tear down the nature it depends on.

Nature isn’t a blocker; it’s the foundation of growth.

A visit today to the two best bird hides in the @yorkbirding.bsky.social area.
A herd of 32 Whooper Swans from Ellerton Church & good numbers of Pintail with the waterfowl from Aughton Church. A couple of hundred Pinkies too, stirred up by @ldvnnr.bsky.social Marsh Harrier.
Lovely stuff!
