Yes! I feel like the CS really set him up well for series 6. Though he didn't have much to do in series 5, I feel like we learned about what was really going on with him over the series and a type of resolution to his home coming in the CS. Tris is entering a new era. He's his own man. Can't wait!

Siegfried is the only one who knows about Edward's past- as far as we know. Siegfried giving Edward a clean slate and telling him that all is forgiven b/c Edward's mistakes in the past led his mom to Skeldale.

After all these years of no one ever questioning their relationship, that may actually fit. Him saying how much his mum thinks of Mr. Farnon and Siegfried admitting, for the first time, what she means to him. Edward acknowledging he's a good man; his mum deserves more than she got in the past.

I really feel Edward got in trouble all those years ago b/c he wanted to help his mum. That's my head cannon. He stole to get money to help her w/something. Poor kid. He came from a broken home. Seeing his dad disrespecting his mum.
