Interesting that NZ has road tolls.i assume only on a motorway or similar. (Appears to be the way to political suicide in the UK).

I almost suggested that was a typo, but "feeling existed" by being followed sound very appropriate! 😉

I was just writing the same. Not a political point at all either. It works where we are, works well and all I hear in the media is that it is crap?? I would expect better from bylines?

All my dealings & my immediate families dealings with our NHS has been great. This has fuck all to do with Politics, it is based in my experiences & facts. No Health Service on the planet is or will ever be perfect, its impossible. There will sadly always be incidents where it falls short.

2. Had a replacement knee last year, amazing service in a newly built speciality centre, Prostate cancer now, found very quickly, investigated, diagnosed and treatment the same. A&E 3 times in the last few years, in within half an hour each time. All what I would hope for.

1. This doesn't reflect my families experience here in the Highlands at all. Our local GP surgery, yes the Monday morning phone battle exists but when we need an appointment it happens, sometimes same day. Advice, phone consults or called in for face to face

My 17 year old gets $11 per hour here in Scotland, tips are optional, gratefully received, but not expected. This is a reduced wage payable to 16-17 year olds, at 18 it rises to $14 per hour then $17 at 21. Table waiting/cleaning in a fast food restaurant.

I know the Administration has a complete bunch of weirdos to choose from as champion, but this guy......this guy...every time I see him interviewed seems to be getting weirder still. Are there any normals left in your government?

They really need to sort out their understanding of how councils operate. The reform councillors are just that, elected councillors. Staff (from the Chief Exec to the cleaning staff and everyone else) are "Staff". They go to work and get paid a salary for doing a job, no politics involved.

It has been a very specific type of "democracy" with only two realistic choices of party, massive and very corrupt funding of those parties and a "first past the post" system used very rarely outside the US. It also appears to have been easily overturned....

Sounds like you need a third, fourth and fifth party over there, reform of First past the post voting system and serious controls on political funding...
