A good thing about Reform's Council election wins so far away from a General Election is that every new Councillor is an opportunity for them to reveal themselves for what they are. Farage's chances of steering Reform away from extremism are nearly zero. Rapid expansion usually spells disaster.

The Media won't acknowledge this video of the farmers blocking an ambulance with its blue lights on so could you could RT it so people see it?

Brexit supporters celebrated when labour shortages forced employers to fund double digit pay rises. The same people are now bleating about a small increase in Employers' NIC.

It's interesting how the Right have suddenly latched onto farmers - "Business Property Relief" from IHT for private companies was changed to be the same as APR for farms. Difference is self interest; Clarkson, Lowe etc.

Autumn Budget – Changes to Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief Changes to Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief
In the Autumn Budget, the Government announced significant changes to two valuable Inheritance Tax (IHT) reliefs, which will be effective from 6 April 2026.

Adopting the status of "patriot" by the far Right is straight out of the Trump playbook and must be challenged. Don't ever let them establish themselves as the only people who are patriotic.

Mark Neile from Mountain Warehouse complains on BBC this morning that they'll struggle with a £2m uplift in employer costs from the Budget. They made £26m profit last year. Large retailers need to quit playing politics and get on with running their businesses.

The cranks lost the argument the moment they chose to die on the genocide hill. Of all the things you could accuse Israel of, that's the least likely to gain traction.
November 15, 2024 at 3:41 PM
The far Right don't appear to see the irony of ejaculating at the thought of Trump imposing tariffs on the UK while claiming to be patriotic.
November 15, 2024 at 3:39 PM
Farmers who whine about the IHT changes need to remember that the likes of Clarkson and Tice are using them to save their own skins. No normal "family farm" is likely to incurr an IHT charge. Instead of protesting they should speak to their accountants.
